| Aja Team Mission
Our Team is called by God to plant and mature indigenous churches, founded on his will, among the Aja. We want to be used by God to initiate a movement sustained by Him through equipped Aja leadership.
Definitions 1. Our Team: A structured group, led by the Spirit of God and commissioned by the church, to evangelize the Aja, who enjoy working together synergistically to develop and implement a strategy to plant and mature reproducing churches.
2. Called by God: The mission Aja originates with God's desire to bring the Aja back to Him as revealed in the scriptures. Through our experiences, He has shown us the need and given us a burden to be his messengers among the Aja.
3. Plant Churches: We will preach the gospel and encourage people to give their allegiance to the Lord, with the intent to form vibrant, cohesive congregations.
4. Mature Churches: We will teach and provide experiences which will bring churches to the point that they can plan meaningful worship, render appropriate service to each other and their communities, solve personal and congregational problems, help all members have a closer relationship with the Lord, and lead others to Him.
5. Indigenous Churches: Churches will have forms of worship, decision making, evangelistic methods, and rites of passage which are appropriate to the local culture and true to the will of God. The Aja vernacular will be used in all communication.
6. Founded on the Will of God: Through Bible study and prayer, churches will plan and make decisions based upon scripture and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
7. Movement: There will be continuous growth in the number of Christians and churches, resulting from Aja men and women repenting of their sins and committing themselves to the Lord.
8. Sustained by Him: This movement depends on God's power and the Spirit rather than the missionaries or Aja Christians.
9. Equipped Aja Leadership: This movement will be led by Aja Christians who are empowered to plant and mature churches without foreign influence.
